Lobbying for youth work – what’s next?

Expert meeting

In recent years, there have been several training courses on lobbying for youth work, both at European level and in some EU member states. The topic has gained importance in the context of discussions about further developing and strengthening youth work. It is all the more relevant and important given the strained budgetary situations in many countries.

From 3 to 4 March 2026, we invite you to a follow-up expert meeting in Bonn under the motto "Lobbying for youth work – what's next?"

The aims of the meeting are:

  • to evaluate and draw conclusions from the various national and European lobby training courses,
  • to strengthen the participants and motivate them to go on lobbying,
  • to develop further and to profile the understanding of lobbying in the youth sector, and
  • to develop (some) concrete conclusions and recommendations (on how to further deal with the topic of lobbying in the youth work sector, clearly linking it to the European Youth Work Agenda process).

The event is aimed at participants of past lobbying training courses as well as other selected experts.

The event will take place in the conference rooms of the German National Agency in Bonn:
