Leuven, Belgium, recently hosted the “Exchange Forum on the European Youth Work Agenda. Boosting national processes for youth work development” from November 11 to 14, 2024. The annual event brought together 60 key stakeholders from across Europe, offering a dynamic platform to advance youth work development at the national level.
The opening day of the “3rd Exchange Forum on the European Youth Work Agenda” was focused on national realities in the context of the implementation of the European Youth Work Agenda. This article provides an overview of the inputs, reflections and discussions during the event. The opening session consisted of a number of opening speeches and inputs. There was also a response from three of the participants to the report and to the context of national realities.
The second day of the Exchange Forum on the European Youth Work Agenda explored how the European level supports youth work development. This article provides an overview of the engagement of the European Commission, the EU-Council of Europe Youth Partnership, the Maltese host of the 4th European Youth Work Convention and the network of National Agencies of the EU youth programmes.
The Holistic Trainer project is a strategic partnership in the field of youth work to empower trainers to thrive in their roles, increase their well-being, motivation and job satisfaction. The project is entering its final stages; however, its outcomes, products and results will continue to have an impact for the foreseeable future. The 4th EAYW event follows the successful three editions, which were organised in May 2019, 2022 and 2024 in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. This edition focuses on how youth work can move forward in a context shaped by ongoing disruption and uncertainty, including rapid technological developments, climate and societal challenges, and wider pressures on democratic systems.
This study visit aims to showcase innovative approaches and concrete examples of how young people can be actively involved in decision-making processes.
The event is aimed at participants of past lobbying training courses as well as other selected experts.
Vom 27. bis 30. Mai 2025 kamen rund 500 Fachkräfte, Forschende und politische Entscheidungsträger*innen in Valletta, Malta, zur 4th European Youth Work Convention zusammen. Unter dem Motto „Youth Work Xcelerate“ diskutierten sie zentrale Themen wie Anerkennung, Qualität, Inklusion und strukturelle Förderung. Die Ergebnisse fließen in eine neue europäische Roadmap zur Stärkung von Youth Work ein – und schärfen damit die European Youth Work Agenda und setzen so die Arbeit des Bonn-Prozesses fort.
JUGEND für Europa bietet im Oktober 2025 eine weitere Möglichkeit, Anträge für Kooperationspartnerschaften (Leitaktion 2) im Programm Erasmus+ Jugend zu stellen. Antragsfrist ist der 01. Oktober 2025.
