Bonn Process Exchange Forum on National Processes: insights into the second event

Connecting national processes at European level enriches the approaches for individuals working in their respective national youth work fields. The second Exchange Forum - that took place from 10 to 12 May 2023 in Germany - brought together 50 participants from 27 countries. They used the opportunity to further develop the cooperation between the national processes and to continue the building of support for organisations and institutions, to be able to implement a successful Bonn Process. The common purpose of the Exchange Forum ultimately is to make youth work stronger and develop it further.

Exchange Forum boosts national youth work development across Europe

Leuven, Belgium, recently hosted the “Exchange Forum on the European Youth Work Agenda. Boosting national processes for youth work development” from November 11 to 14, 2024. The annual event brought together 60 key stakeholders from across Europe, offering a dynamic platform to advance youth work development at the national level.

Exploring national processes. Key insights from the first day of the 3rd Exchange Forum

The opening day of the “3rd Exchange Forum on the European Youth Work Agenda” was focused on national realities in the context of the implementation of the European Youth Work Agenda. This article provides an overview of the inputs, reflections and discussions during the event. The opening session consisted of a number of opening speeches and inputs. There was also a response from three of the participants to the report and to the context of national realities.

The second day of the Exchange Forum on the European Youth Work Agenda explored how the European level supports youth work development. This article provides an overview of the engagement of the European Commission, the EU-Council of Europe Youth Partnership, the Maltese host of the 4th European Youth Work Convention and the network of National Agencies of the EU youth programmes.

Die Weiterentwicklung von Youth Work beschleunigen: Vierte European Youth Work Convention

Vom 27. bis 30. Mai 2025 kamen rund 500 Fachkräfte, Forschende und politische Entscheidungsträger*innen in Valletta, Malta, zur 4th European Youth Work Convention zusammen. Unter dem Motto „Youth Work Xcelerate“ diskutierten sie zentrale Themen wie Anerkennung, Qualität, Inklusion und strukturelle Förderung. Die Ergebnisse fließen in eine neue europäische Roadmap zur Stärkung von Youth Work ein – und schärfen damit die European Youth Work Agenda und setzen so die Arbeit des Bonn-Prozesses fort.
