A new youth policy for Europe – Towards the empowerment and inclusion of all young people

Event to mark the end of the multilateral cooperation project on youth policy

25. November 2013, Brussels

Flaggen in JeanstascheIn many European countries, the adoption of the “Renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field (2010-2018)” injected fresh momentum into the debate concerning the design and reshaping of youth policy. One of those countries was Germany, which has been working on the development of a new youth policy since 2011. It was against this backdrop that the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth launched a multilateral cooperation project at the end of 2011 with the aim of initiating a transnational learning process about how youth policy can be shaped in EU member states and in Europe.

As part of Lithuania's EU Council Presidency programme, the Youth Division of Lithuania's Ministry of Social Security and Labour and Germany's Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth invite you to join us as we mark the end of the two-year peer learning project. The end-of-project event, to be held on the premises of Lithuania's Permanent Representation to the EU, will present six key theses concerning youth policy design and the inspiring and fruitful effect of the
transnational peer learning process. Additionally, the event will serve as a platform for youth policy decision makers to discuss current issues in youth policy.

The event will be held in English.
