Marti Taru and Paul Kloosterman. Commissioned by The European Commission, DG Education and Culture (Brüssel, 2013) Youthpass was launched by the European Commission in 2007. It is the European tool to improve the recognition of the learning outcomes of young people and youth workers/leaders from their participation in projects supported by the EU Youth in Action Programme. The main aim of the study was to assess with the aid of quantitative and qualitative methods the impact of Youthpass on the participants of the Youth in Action Programme. For example, a focus was put on the improvement of learning processes and the impact of Youthpass on the recognition of non-formal learning experiences in the recruitment and selection procedures used in the labour market and formal education sector.
